Schwartz Mixed Herbs: A review

One of my favourite hobbies in life is cooking, and over the years, I have developed a selection of dishes that I use when batch cooking for the week ahead. Having recently cut back on the amount of beef I eat, I have moved towards cooking more lamb. So often Shepherds Pie, Chilli, Lasagna and Tagine make an appearance at our dining table. Although better for the environment, this meat can be very over powering and hard to season.

In the past I have struggled to balance the gamey flavour of the lamb with any seasoning suggested by recipes I’ve used. So to improve the end result of my cooking, I decided to add Schwartz Mixed Herbs to my Shepherd’s Pie, Lamb Tagine and Lasagna during this weeks batch cooking.

What is it? Schwartz Mixed Herbs combines Marjoram, Basil, Oregano and Thyme all in one bottle and it is a perfectly blended way to add extra flavour to your dishes (whilst taking up less space on your spice rack!).

Upon adding the Mixed Herbs to my dishes, I was instantly hit by an incredible aroma and when finalising the seasoning to each dish I found i didn’t need to add anything else as the mixed herbs helped balance out the flavours perfectly. So much so that my other half even proclaimed it was my best lasagna yet.
