Elle’s Travel moment of 2018

Did you find a Panasonic mirrorless camera under your tree at Christmas this year and are you now keen to get out and start capturing your favourite travel moments? Or perhaps you are searching for the ideal camera to purchase with your Christmas or birthday money. The Lumix Compact DC-GH55 has 10.28 megapixels and 10-bit internal recording with an advanced new image sensor and a focal length that’s always spot on. With the ability to capture photos and video, this mirrorless camera gives you the opportunity to capture the world and change it!

Personally, I love taking a camera and capturing my favourite travel moments, so I can freeze that moment in time and transport myself back to remember the feelings, sights, smells and experiences I had whenever I fancy. Talking with other bloggers about their travel moment of 2018 got me thinking about what my favourite travel experience from 2018 was and my ultimate travel photos that inspire me and others to keep travelling the world. Visiting over 7 countries last year choosing a favourite travel photograph was a little hard at first, so admittedly I had to cheat a little and I’ve chosen two! These photos are from my travel moments in 2018 that took my breath away and inspired me to work harder on my travel photography. Which one would you like to visit?

Fjällbacka, Västra Götaland, Sweden

I think I left my heart in Sweden! My favourite part of our May 2018 holiday (aside from IKEA 😂) was our road trip along the western coast of Sweden and discovering this breath takingly beautiful vantage point. Sometimes the best things are the unexpected and this is certainly one of my most memorable travel moments from 2018.

I’ve included the before and after edit photos for you, so you can see the impact that editing your photos has. I only slightly enhanced the light contrast because the original photo didn’t really do justice to the beauty and vibrance that we saw in real life.

Cabo Girão Viewpoint, Mauritius

Another view point photo? I know guilty!! but I’m a sucker for a great view (especially if it includes the sea!). We visited Cabo Girao on a Sunday during our August 2018 holiday and enjoyed free entry. Being brave we walked out across the glass skywalk and admired the clear turquoise oceans and dramatic coastline. I highly recommend you heading here if you are planning to visit Madeira because it gives you a great perspective of the diverse landscape that this island has to offer and it’s a fantastic travel moment. This photo is totally unedited with no filter in sight!

If you are looking to purchase a new camera or try your hand at perfecting your photography skills make sure you consider a Panasonic mirrorless camera to capture your 2019 travel moments! Guess what I want to achieve this year is? – better photo content for my blog, so might pop on some video tutorials when I get a spare five minutes! Oh, and I plan on traveling a LOT of course, I’ll be updating my travel wishlist over the next few months with links through to anywhere I have completed

What’s on your wishlist for 2019? Let me know in the comments below

Great pictures! I really like the viewpoint shot in Madeira! I’m planning to upgrade my phone soon so I’m debating if I should keep my mirrorless camera or not for travelling 🙁
