The ultimate gift for Christmas 2019: A Christmas Hamper

All too often at Christmas we can get swept up in the hype, and end up spending a fortune on gifts that our relatives then discard or cost a fortune and put unnecessary pressure on our credit cards. Which is why I love giving hampers as Christmas gifts, because its a simple yet effective way to gift your loved ones with a beautiful present that they will actually enjoy throughout the festive season. So if you are struggling to find the ultimate Christmas gift this year read on to hear all about Christmas Hampers for 2019…

Last year I reviewed Prestige Hampers UK ‘Jingle all the way’ Hamper which my parents loved tucking into over the holidays. This year I was kindly gifted the ‘Happy Christmas’ hamper. I am always delighted with the high attention to detail that Prestige Hamper UK give to their products and the wide variety of hampers they have on offer to suit all tastes and budgets.

My ‘Happy Christmas‘ Hamper* arrived in a very festive red box. Upon opening the box I was delighted to discover a beautiful handmade wicker hamper basket, something I know I will use for many years to come (I have always dreamed about having one for a summer picnic – so this one is perfect!).

If you can afford to splash out a little bit extra purchasing a hamper that comes in a wicker basket is well worth it, as your loved ones will appreciate the gesture of having something they can then use for years to come. It’s a lovely way of presenting the items too, so you don’t have to fuss about any wrapping paper when you gift your loved one with this particular hamper.

Rummaging through the shredded paper was very exciting. I was especially pleased at this detail, as it means less landfill waste due to the recyclable nature of the filling used. I decided to treat the first opening of the hamper as if I was receiving it for the first time on Christmas day, so you can imagine what it would be like for your loved ones opening it.

The contents of the ‘Jingle all the way’ Hamper include:

Taylors English Breakfast Tea 50g

The contents of the ‘Happy Christmas’ hamper are of superb quality including renowned brands such as Taylors and Belvoir. Aside from the wicker hamper itself, I loved the fact that this Christmas hamper in particular truly offers something for everyone – more so than any hamper I’ve seen before. Which is why I’d recommend it as a gift, if you are struggling to think of something to give to a family with older children or your in-laws.

All the products have a lovely festive twist with ginger, cranberry, yule cake and of course Christmas pudding. My dad was especially delighted to discover, that the products inside included gluten free and vegan options, whilst my mum loved the inclusion of the chocolate yule which was one of her favourites last year. My favourite product by far is the Belvoir Mulled Cordial, as I love anything mulled over the festive period and this version is great because you can have it as a non-alcoholic version or opt to add a spirit to it if you wish (making it great for children, designated drivers and adults alike!).

Christmas hampers are a great gift to give, especially if your loved ones are expecting a large amount of guests over the festive period. My parents are hosting a lot of different family members and friends this year which is exciting. Many of us though (like I’m sure a lot of your households have too) have different dietary requirements, including vegetarian, lactose-free and gluten allergies, which is why this hamper is the perfect gift for my parents this year (and will take a lot of pressure off my mum when it comes to buying treats for everyone to tuck into).

Don’t just take my word for it though, Prestige Hampers continue to receive exception reviews for their Christmas Hampers which you will see from a quick search online. Quite frankly though it’s clear to see why year after year they continue to receive glowing reviews, as with high attention to detail, a carefully selected array of savoury and sweet products there is only one place to buy a hamper for your loved ones in 2019 and that’s Prestige Hampers UK.

So leave the busy shops and tacky presents to everyone else and buy your loved ones a gift that they will truly love… a Christmas Hamper, because we all know the way to someones heart after all is through their stomach.
