25 countries in 25 years

Since the age of 3, I have travelled the world. And although I can’t remember much of it my first trip abroad was to Boston with my family and we played ‘pice girls on repeat! During the 25 years I’ve been on this planet (wow 5 years until I’m 30 that scares me!) I’ve been fortunate enough throughout my life to go on many incredible family holidays, trips with friends and time away with my boyfriend.

Travelling has and will always be an important part of who I am it’s something that gives me passion in life and a fire in my soul. It gives me the determination to keep going even through the dark times and challenges that life throws at us all. I believe that whilst having a beautiful and safe place to live is very important, making sure you make memories that enrich your life is also a valuable thing to do.

Travelling to different countries gives me the chance to broaden my horizons, learn new things and experience different cultures, all whilst helping me find my place in this crazy big world. People tease that I’m always on holiday or I must spend a fortune on going away but the truth is I save hard for my holidays. And I honestly believe that you can’t take money with you … so as long as you are sensible why not live a little and explore the world – it gives you memories that are priceless and stories to share with your friends and family.

Life is short. The world is wide – I want to make some memories….

Where’s Next??

For the rest of 2019 I have two holidays planned so far that I will be sharing blogs with you for. In April I’m heading on a road trip round Ireland with my boyfriend so I have a couple of 72 hours in, on a shoestring and road trip blogs planned for that. And in August I’ll be exploring Canada with my parents – so make sure you subscribe to check out what I write about that trip. It’s all very exciting!

As always I’m happiest when planning my adventures around the world so my next goal is to visit 30 countries before I turn 30… so I have 5 years to get onto that! but where would I like to go? My initial ideas are:

Japan, Thailand, Hungary, Finland, New Zealand and Australia (I might not make it to these but I will make it to 30!! Plus I’m sure I’ll fit in re-visiting some of the wonderful countries above as well because once I’ve fallen in love I don’t forget easily….

How many of the 25 countries I’ve visited have you seen? Let me know in the comments below as I’d love to hear your travel stories. ο»Ώ
